Enviromental exposition.

It was realised in the Exhibitions and Audience Hall of the Culture House of Young, Río Negro since the 3 to the 5 of June of 2009 the 5th. Enviromental exposition of Young. Audio-visual projections, workshops and conferences were carried out. The young people and the climatic changes were the protagonists. Audio-visual, samples, factories, conferences, ecojuegos and musical spectacles carried out by young people in support to healthful environmental policies. The changes in temperature, sea level, raining frequency, vegetation, terrestrial zones covered with ice and the bioesfera generally, affect to components of the climatic system and their interactions. The inauguration of Exposition counted with the presence of the House, Territorial Ordering, and Environment Minister Mr. Carlos Colacce, the Industry, Energy and Mining Minister Mr. Daniel Martinez, the Major of Río Negro Dr. Omar Lafluf, the national and departmental Director of IDEAS Mr. Sergio Pesce, and authorities.

Colacce encouraged actions to save the planet.
The House, Territorial Ordering and Environment minister, Carlos Colacce, present in the launching of the Enviromental exposition at Young, Río Negro, expresed that the children through their attitudes will achieve with success to carry ahead actions that decompress on a worldwide basis the problematic of the climatic system.
He expressed that at local level, it is necessary to use in efficient form the energy, the water, like for example, the recycling of the trash and the utilization of the plastic bags.
The Minister said that it is necessary to change the environmental customs and he assured that "we are the first generation of the humanity that identifies that actions should be carried out to save the planet". He added that "our predecessors thought that the resources of the land were infinities" and that the planet would hold all the errors of the humanity, task that is morale and ethics.
The fairs help to make aware and to understood the current problematic, undertakings that should continue ahead.
Also the Industry, Energy and mining minister, Daniel Martínez, said that the search of a better quality of life based on the economic things, caused that important values like the conservation forgot the environment.
The Minister said to be comforted because the Exposition is an initiative of the own people, and in that context, is necessary to leave a habitable world for the youngest generations.
Also, he indicated that are necessary responsible industrial polices and the utilization of renewable energy, that assure a better environmental quality in for our country.
The Major of Río Negro, Omar Lafluf, explained that the improvements in the deposition of residues, that they try to transform itself into garbage dumps, are effective worries of the zone.
He indicated that the environmental department has more environmental control measures, with the presence of Botnia. At present 16 stations of monitoring in the Río uruguay exist, with permanent control of the water; three control towers of air, that monitor 24 hours a day. Also works in the zone the Technological Laboratory of the Uruguay (LATU), that counts on nine research programs and five laboratories, besides the systematic execution of quality control of water by OSE.
IDEAS Director and founder of the exposition, Sergio Pesce, declared that to reinforce environmental conscience, to understand how the actions influence affect the common spaces, is vital to establish successful operations.
For it, he indicated that a good environmental education is necessary during all the life, in a country that has many natural resources, as a way to revert the actions of the climatic change. It is necessary to use renewable energies, a responsible use and care for the water, axes of Enviromental exposition 2009, event that by its characteristics is unique in the country.
Pesce indicated that the public and private institutions present display in each event educative projects, besides participating in contests, that are of interest of the educational students and teachers.
On the other hand, Ana, student of first year of Young Day School explained that in the chemistry class they are studying the potable water and the problems of the contamination, as well as the situations that it carry.
The objective is, besides inquiring, to make aware and to sensitize to change the existing parameters, like for example, at home: to close the water shins when they are not used, or to recycle the generated trash, to know on the different forms to use the paper, which constitutes one of the forms to value what it is what is possessed.
The Exposition is realised from the 3 to the 5 of June in Young, department of Río Negro, in the exhibitions and audience hall of the House of the Culture. The event has been declared of national, ministerial and departmental interest, and the agencies that participate are the National Direction of Environment (DINAMA); the Technical School of Young; Water Company (OSE); Ecological group of Young; the National System of Protected areas (SNAP); municipal Intendance of Young; High schools 1 and 2; the Unit of Climatic Change of the DINAMA; the National Network of Ecoclubes; Young Day School; Esteros de Farrapos of the SNAP; and the British Embassy.
